Lugano (TI) - Switzerland’s southern gateway, with a sharper fiscal edge
Lugano is Switzerland’s third financial centre: Italian-speaking, commercially fluent, and positioned for operators who work naturally across the Swiss–Italian corridor.
In 2025, Canton Ticino sharpened its corporate framework: the cantonal profit tax rate was reduced from 8.0% to 5.5%. For most companies, the combined corporate income tax burden remains in the mid-teens (commune- and profit-profile dependent; the canton itself states corporate income tax “starts at” around 14%). Innovation incentives are also explicit: patent box relief up to 90% on qualifying IP income, and an R&D super-deduction up to 50% (within the Swiss regime).
Connectivity is practical rather than rhetorical: trains reach both Zürich and Malpensa Airport in under two hours.
Swiss Tower has maintained a registered business address (c/o) in Lugano since 2016
